This video is about learning/teaching styles. It gives an overview of the different types so that you can ask yourself (or ask your care team) which style(s) you seem to respond best to so that you and your care team can better and more readily identify & tailor strategies that may be more likely to help you better, and faster, as you navigate recovery from your brain injury.

After you identify your preferred learning styles, when looking to create accommodations, you & your team can focus on the interventions that you may have an easier time understanding & gravitating towards, vs. getting stuck only delivering information in 1 specific way that you may not respond as well to or understand as well.

Time in rehab is often limited by health insurance coverage & office encounter quotas, limits, or other financial restraints & limitations, and as such, it's best to spend the limited focused time with your care team working on learning & implementing the strategies that make the most sense for you, as a person, and in consultation with your lifestyle & goals for rehab, and spend less time on methods that may not work as well or as readily, for you.

This video is aimed primarily at brain injury survivors, as well as their loved ones & caregivers. You can also reference it with your rehab care team to make sure you all are on the same page with the approach(es) that make the most sense, for you.

Hopefully, it'll help you more readily identify the types of interventions that may work best for you, so that you can accelerate &/or become less frustrated with the time it takes as your brain recovers.
